SUMMER FRUITS

Within our final project for our textile design course, we were assigned the task of creating a graphic design of our choice, choosing a pattern style and type of fabric, and lastly showcasing our design on a product of choice. I decided to create a series of tropical/seasonal summer fruits followed by an arrangement of greenery and flora surrounding the fruits. After carefully choosing a warm peach toned colour palette, I created three different colour variations within the same pattern style and then proceeded to fabricate it onto a rough linen textile, for its durability, bacterial resistance, and ventilating properties. Lastly, my design was projected as durable throw pillowcases to bring brightness and the essence of colour into a chosen space.
